Evan Sanderson is an actor, playwright, and creative manager currently based in Washington DC. After graduating from Boston University's School of Theatre, Evan performed throughout Boston, New York, and DC - acting credits include work with Shakespeare Now! (Mark Antony in Julius Caesar), Boston Playwright's Theatre (Randy in Miss Margaret LaRue in Milwaukee), Apollinaire Theatre Company (Rudi in East of Berlin), Bad Habit Productions (Claudio and Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing), Zeitgeist Stage Company (Adam in Time of My Life), New Repetory Theatre (van Swieten), Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (Thurio), and Shear Madness (Mikey). He received an IRNE nomination for Best Actor in 2012 for his portrayal of Rudi in East of Berlin.
As a playwright, Evan's first play FALLUJAH was work shopped by Boston University as a part of the New Play Initiative. It ended up winning the 2011 Quest for Peace Award, the National Playwrighting Award, and the David Mark Cohen Playwrighting Award. It received the honor of a production at the Kennedy Center in the spring of 2011, and was produced in London at the Cockpit Theater in 2013. He was selected as a New Voices Fellow at New Repetory Theater in 2014, where he produced and workshopped another play about American veterans entitled READJUSTMENT.
Currently, Evan is pursuing his Masters Degree in Arts Management with a focus on game design and the arts from American University.
